Derek Hampton
Hi, my name is Derek Hampton, and I am truly excited to be running Saddletramp Outfitters, a successful outfitting business that is over 20 years old, and offers some of the best hunting and most beautiful scenery that I’ve ever seen. I have been helping Saddletramp Outfitters for the last two years, and this year I am taking an expanded role in the running of the outfit. I am originally from the mountains of East Tennessee. I love the Smoky Mountains of my hometown, but the scenery alone in Western Colorado will explain why this is where I hang my hat. Myself, Jake, and our guides spend much of our time in the areas that we hunt in order to offer you the best Colorado hunting experience possible. Jake Bullock
Hi, my name is Jake Bullock. My Dad, Tom Bullock owned and operated Saddletramp Outfitters for over 20 years, until he passed away in 2005. I have been riding horses to our camps, and helping my dad guide hunters since I was 3 years old. My dad would put me on a pack saddle, and just tell me to hold on. I rifle hunted my first year in 2005 when I turned 12 years old. I was successful with a nice 5x5 buck. Last year, I finally went on my first archery hunt, and took a nice 6x6 bull elk. Both these hunts were done in the area that we outfit and where you will be hunting. This year I am 15 years old, and will be helping much more with the wrangling and guiding.
