Archery Deer/Elk: August 29 - September 27
Muzzleloading Deer/Elk: September 12 - 20
Separate Limited Elk: October 10 - 14
Combined Deer and Elk: October 17 - 25
Combined Deer and Elk: October 31 - November 6


Important Notes Regarding Licenses

Deer 2009:

All Licenses are Limited and Available By Drawing Only

Elk 2009:

Archery - August 29 - September 27
Unit 33 is a Limited Unit, and Either Sex Tags Must Be Applied For

Muzzleloading - September 12 - 20
This is a Limited Tag, and there are two codes for Unit 33 Public Land - One for A Bull, and One for a Cow

1st Season Rifle - October 10 - 14
Totally Limited Tag, and Licenses are Available By Drawing Only

2nd Season Rifle - October 17 - 25
Licenses can be Purchased Over The Counter

3rd Season Rifle - October 31 - November 6
Licenses can be Purchased Over The Counter

Bear 2009:

Bear Tags can be purchased over the counter during the same season as purchase of an elk tag, as long as they are available. There is a cap on these over the counter sales.

Habitat Stamp

Hunters and Anglers are required to purchase a Habitat Stamp when they purchase a hunting or fishing license. When purchased with a license, the cost is $5.00 and is required on the first two licenses purchased in a calendar year.

Hunter Safety

All persons born after January 1, 1949 are required to have completed a Hunter Safety Course prior to purchasing a Colorado Hunting License. Also, be sure to carry your Hunter Safety Card with you while hunting, along with your license.
