Archery Deer/Elk: August 30 - September 28
Muzzleloading Deer/Elk: September 13 - 21
Separate Limited Elk: October 11 - 15
Combined Deer and Elk: October 18 - 26
Combined Deer and Elk: November 1 - 7


Important Notes Regarding Licenses

Deer 2008:

All Licenses are Limited and Available By Drawing Only

Elk 2008:

Archery - August 30 - September 28
Unit 33 is a Limited Unit, and Either Sex Tags Must Be Applied For

Muzzleloading - September 13 - 21
This is a Limited Tag, and there are two codes for Unit 33 Public Land - One for A Bull, and One for a Cow

1st Season Rifle - October 11 - 15
Totally Limited Tag, and Licenses are Available By Drawing Only

2nd Season Rifle - October 18 - 26
Licenses can be Purchased Over The Counter

3rd Season Rifle - November 1 - 7
Licenses can be Purchased Over The Counter

Bear 2008:

Bear Tags can be purchased over the counter during the same season as purchase of an elk tag, as long as they are available. There is a cap on these over the counter sales.

Habitat Stamp

Hunters and Anglers are required to purchase a Habitat Stamp when they purchase a hunting or fishing license. When purchased with a license, the cost is $5.00 and is required on the first two licenses purchased in a calendar year.

Hunter Safety

All persons born after January 1, 1949 are required to have completed a Hunter Safety Course prior to purchasing a Colorado Hunting License. Also, be sure to carry your Hunter Safety Card with you while hunting, along with your license.
